Bigdata/Hadoop
Big Data is large, complex sets of data that are majorly gained from new sources. The main reason behind the inception of Big Data is that the volume in which this data is processed is so massive, that the traditional data processing software lacks the ability to manage it. However, Big Data is crucial for big businesses because of its criticality. These expansive sets of data can be used to tackle business issues that were, previously, impossible to address.
At Unisolvers, we provide Big Data services to organizations who need to store massive volumes of data, but lack the means for it.
Big Data majorly runs on 3 Vs:
- Volume: For any organization, the volume of data matters and makes a huge difference. With Big Data services, these organizations gain the ability to process high volumes of unstructured data. Most of the time, the value of this data is unknown. For some organizations, this unstructured data quantity can go up to tens of terabytes or even hundreds of petabytes, which can become extremely challenging to maintain.
- Velocity: Velocity, in big data, is defined as the rate at which large unstructured data is received and in some cases, acted upon. In most cases, the highest velocity of data directly streams into the memory, instead of being written to a disk. However, some smart data operates in real time and would require to be evaluated in real-time.
- Variety: This resembles the different types of data that are available. The conventional data was usually structured and would be stored in a relational database. With the emergence of Big Data, the data now comes in unstructured form. Data such as text, audio or video that is semistructured or unstructured require preprocessing to get the support from metadata.
